Design

Landscape design and installation across San Diego County.

Full yard redesigns are where we do the most design-forward work. We walk the property, measure, build a drawn plan with plant list and estimate, then install: grading, soil prep, planting, drip irrigation, mulch, and finish. One crew, one timeline, no punch list at the end.

What do homeowners ask about Design?

What's the design fee, and is it worth it?

We charge $600-$1,400 for a scaled plan, plant list, and itemized estimate. That fee credits 100% toward the install if you move forward with us. Worth it when you are spending $8K+, because a bad plant pick in SD dies in year two and you pay twice.

How long does a full install take?

3-5 days for a front yard (1,000-1,500 sq ft), 5-10 days for a full property with grading and hardscape. We stage by zone so most of the yard stays usable during the install.

Do you handle permits and HOA approval?

HOA plan submittals, yes — we package the drawing and plant list for submission. City permits for grading over 50 cubic yards or structural hardscape are billed at cost if needed. For most residential designs in SD county, no permit is required.

Can you work with my existing plants?

Yes. Most designs keep mature trees, established shrubs that are in good health, and anything you are attached to. We work around them and integrate.

Do you warranty the plants?

90-day plant replacement warranty on anything we install and maintain through the rooting period. Does not cover neglect, pet damage, or extreme weather. Plants we replace at cost after 90 days if you want us back out.

Homeowners who hired us for this

Switched to Bloom Pro after two years of inconsistent crews. Same team every Tuesday, the lawn looks consistently sharp, and they flagged a sprinkler leak we'd have missed. Flat rate, no surprise invoices.

Melissa R. Weekly Lawn Maintenance · Carlsbad

Got three quotes for a front-yard drought-tolerant conversion. Bloom Pro was the only one that showed me the MWD rebate math up front. They handled the paperwork and we got $2,400 back. Yard looks incredible and the water bill is half what it was.

David K. Drought-Tolerant Conversion · El Cajon

They redesigned our lighting for the whole front yard and walkway. Warm LED uplights on the palms, path lights that aren't blinding, all on a smart controller. The house feels completely different in the evenings now.
