A landscape design fee buys a defined set of documents, not a yard. Installation is a separate contract. Bloom Pro SD matches homeowners with licensed independent designers and installers. We do not draw plans or credit fees.

A newly designed San Diego front yard with curved planting beds, drought-tolerant plants, and a flagstone path in warm afternoon light

What the design fee should include

Ask, in writing:

  • Site measurements and photos used
  • Scaled plan versus a sketch
  • Plant list with sizes
  • Irrigation notes or a separate irrigation design
  • Hardscape schematic versus stamped engineering
  • How many revision rounds
  • Whether any fee credits toward install with that same company

A planting-only front yard is not a full remodel with grading and walls. Compare those scopes before comparing dollars. Landscape design is the referral page.

What moves an install bid after the plan

Demolition, import or export of soil, drainage, access, permits, and plant sizes move the total more than the sheet of paper. Rebate projects still need a SoCal Water$mart reservation before turf comes out.

Frequently asked questions

How much does landscape design cost in San Diego? It depends on lot size, drawing detail, and engineering. Get itemized design and install numbers.

Is the design fee part of the install? Only if that contractor writes a credit. It is not automatic.
